As busy moms, we like to save money, but with one important catch: it can’t take too much of our precious time.
We’d much rather be playing dinosaurs or having tea parties with our kids. Not clipping coupons or spending hours scouring the best deals online.
When I find a quick and easy way to save money, count me in! One of the things I dread spending too much money on is new clothes for my kids, but I’ve found an easy strategy you can use to save big!
This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of Sears Mastercard.
One of my favorite money saving tips is to find a rewards credit card that matches up with your spending habits. When you find a good match, you can really reap the rewards!
I’m excited to have the opportunity to share details about the new Sears Mastercard from Citibank because it’s a rewards card you can use to your advantage.
Maximize your rewards by using your Sears Mastercard for all of your everyday purchases. I use a rewards card for everyday purchases and then pay off the balance in full at the end of the month.
No finance charges + earning rewards = DOUBLE WIN!!

Maximize Your Rewards
Earning 5% back on gas purchases and 3% on your grocery purchases can really add up fast!
If you are using the Sears Mastercard with Shop Your Way just to accumulate rewards, only choose to use the card for purchases that you know you can pay off at the end of the month. Even just putting some of your monthly expenses, such as groceries, gas, and dining out, you should have no problem accumulating at least $20 worth of rewards a month.
If you really want to maximize your rewards, you can look into using the card for as many purchases as possible. You can often pay your cell phone bill, cable bill, or even daycare with a credit card.
This works best when you are using a single rewards card like the the Sears Mastercard for all your everyday purchases.
Shop Your Way rewards
The Shop Your Way points can be used in store or online. You can apply them to purchases at Sears, Kmart, and through the Shop Your Way site.
Redeem your points for the things you need
Do your kids grow like weeds? I know mine sure do!
Every time the seasons change, it means a change in wardrobe. And it seems every time I pull the clothes I stored away from last season, I’m lucky if a few things still fit.
It’s hard to spend too much on new clothes when you know they will probably just get a few months of use before being outgrown.
Replenishing their wardrobe for the new season or new school year is a great way to use your Shop Your Way reward points!
Save for a larger purchase
If using rewards points for new clothes isn’t your speed, there’s plenty of other ways you can use the points.
Have a larger purchase looming in your future like a dishwasher on the fritz or a washing machine on its last legs? Save up your Shop Your Way points for major savings!
